As many of you are aware, we have been hosting regular coffee mornings for parents of children who are known to have Special Educational Needs, and those who may have concerns about their child.
We work closely with a charity by the name of ‘IMPART’ and a representative from IMPART attends each of our coffee mornings. IMPART is an organisation which has been set up by a group of parents within Barking and Dagenham – each one a parent to a child or children who has special educational needs. IMPART also run a parent support group called ‘Journey Together’ which meets regularly to share knowledge; experiences; advice and to provide guidance on matters particular to its members.
We will have special guest visitors attending our next two coffee morning sessions, who will be on hand to answer questions and offer informal advice.
